Pickle Things {Tutorial}

15 Mar

Let’s talk about appetizers.

Not fancy pants hors d’oeuvres.

Plain. Simple. Delicious.

That is exactly what these “Pickle Things” are. Looks-wise they aren’t anything to write home about, but these little bite size babes are packing big taste!

I’m not calling them pickle things to be witty, clever, funny or ironic. Silly as it may seem that is actually what my family calls them. Go ahead, you can laugh at our awesome naming skills!

These are pickles, wrapped in cream cheese and ham, then cut into bite sized medallions for easing munching. These make an appearance at every single family gathering.

Seriously.

Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, Sunday dinners whatever the occasion they are always invited. And, thanks to my OCD, I’m always invited to make them because I always make them look as neat as I can!

I know the combination of pickles, cream cheese and ham may cause you to hesitate to make or try them. But if you do, your taste buds will thank you! It is one of those unique palate pleasing flavor combinations. You know, the ones you think you could never possibly like, and then you try it and you’re hooked!

Did I mention there is only three ingredients?! It’s hard to even call this a recipe, but here ya go!

I was just thinking, these would be great for Dr. Seuss’ birthday {March 2nd} If you use your imagination they kind of look like green eggs wrapped in ham! 😉

Or, take them to work to celebrate St. Patrick’s day! Your co-workers will love that you’re mixing it up with something other than sweet treats!

Throw these together for your family gatherings for Easter! You’ll be amazed how fast these disappear!

If you make them, I’d love to hear what you thought, so shoot me a comment!
